These Key-Value Pair (KVP) improvements are cause for celebration and since we’re missing Oktoberfest this year, let’s prost from home!
Servus smartx-ers,
As you know, Oktoberfest, the world’s largest folk festival held in Munich, was cancelled this year. Many of you have been asking how to celebrate Bavarian culture and what to do with the authentic lederhosen and dirndl you bought on sale last year.
No need to despair! Introducing: smartoberfest! The virtual festival taking place from the safety and comfort of your own home! Just because the festival in Munich was cancelled doesn’t mean we have to keep our lederhosen packed away.
Perhaps our very own smartoberfest won’t attract the same crowds seen in Munich, but it will surely attract our new broadcasting clients who depend on this key feature to kickstart their use of the smartx platform. Media owners depend on Key-Value Pairs (KVPs) for managing their programmatic business, such as targeting, creating segments, and more. These KVPs are often customised and make it easier to pass targeting and tracking information in a way that suits their individual business model. To further streamline this process, we’re introducing the option to automatically forward specific KVP information to certain Seats and DSPs.
This new feature, while key for some clients, is not necessary for all. So if your publisher needs to have their custom KVPs forwarded to a Seat and/or DSP, please submit a ticket to smartx support.
We’re shuffling around some fieldsets to make Campaign setup for Line Items and Line Item Bundles more intuitive. Daily Cap and Kickstart will move from the Delivery tab of Line Item Presets to the Basic tab. Since they are both related to the campaign goal amount, it makes more sense for Daily Cap and Kickstart to be part of the Goal fieldset. Please note, this change affects smartx as well as the API.
We’re tinkering with some internal processes in order to improve forecasting support for self-service accounts. When creating a forecasting request, the available Owner Marketplace will now depend on the hierarchy Marketplace selection above. The Owner Marketplace selection will automatically filter the associated settings that will be reflected in the Targeting and Inventory tabs.
Now, if you excuse us. We have to deal with a neighbor who is complaining about “stomping noises” and our accordion being “too loud” 🙄.
Yours in smartx updates, Dirndl-online-shopping, and eating our weight in pretzels 🥨,
