In digital advertising, a publisher is an organisation that prepares, issues, and distributes content via online media such as websites and apps.
A key revenue stream for publishers is selling ad space (inventory) to companies looking to promote their products/services to the publisher’s audience.
At smartclip, a publisher is any contractual partner that has a marketing agreement with smartclip (or a marketing unit affiliated with smartx) to market a specific (video) inventory. These can be the actual owners of the inventory or intermediaries such as ad networks.
