Connected TV (CTV) is a term used for any television with a built-in internet connection – a smart TV – or any external device that can be plugged into a television to provide an internet connection. External devices – also known as OTT (over-the-top) devices – include streaming devices such as Apple TV or Roku and gaming consoles such as Xbox and PlayStation. The internet connection allows viewers to watch premium content on-demand via OTT streaming services.
