Love Means Nothing to Us 🎾

Get into the ready position, these updates are causing a racket.

smartclip character holding a tennis racket on a tennis court. Copy reads, we’ve been tennis fans this whole time.

Hey there smartxers,

Bracing yourselves for another week of unpredictable football shenanigans? If you’re anything like us, you’re probably running out of teams to support in the Euros. So, why not join us on Henman Hill, as we sip on Pimm’s and eat strawberries and cream? That’s right, we’re all about Wimbledon now!

Get into the ready position and prepare to be blown away by more insane trick shots from the likes of Federer and Djokovic. Seriously, those moves are almost as impressive as our latest batch of platform updates.

Keeping ad types within the sidelines

In the Demand Business Rules editor, we’ve made some adjustments to the ad types available in the Financial Settings. Previously, almost all ad types were available for selection. However, the majority of DSPs only support a limited selection of ad types.

To keep things simple, and to prevent users from selecting an unsupported ad type, only ad types that are supported by the specific DSP will be shown in the dropdown.

For new financial settings, only ad types assigned to the DSP of the demand contract associated with this Demand Business Rule can be selected.

An extra slice of Content Channel exports

We’ve been tinkering with the exporting capabilities for Supply Content Channels to help out campaign management teams. Previously, exports from the Content Channels grid would only include the selected Sites. Now, all Placement Groups of the selected Sites, as well as Placement Groups that have been selected in addition to Sites, will be exported in the CSV file. We’ve added the following columns to the exports to get more granular information:

  • Level: Indicates whether the Site has been selected in the Content Channel or Placement Group
  • Placement Group Name
  • Placement Group ID
  • Placement Group Status

An ace new eye-con

We added the creative preview icon to the Creative Tab of Line Items for Direct Campaigns. This icon enables the ad server preview for a creative in a line item. Previously, users could only preview a creative by selecting Assign. Now, users can preview the associated creatives directly in the Creative list of a Line Item with the eye-shaped icon.

The final drop shot

  • Trafficker filter: Users can now filter by “Trafficker” in the Demand Business Rules grid.

That’s all for today, folks! Game, set, match.

Yours in product updates and talking with our racket and playing with our hearts,
