Forget the snow, hail, and other unidentifiable precipitation outside. Head into the glorious indoors for platform updates instead!
Hey smartxers,
We’re usually not the small-talk type but how about that weather, huh? There are not enough English words to describe the temperamental weather we’ve seen across Europe over the last few weeks (we’re talking sun, rain, snow, and hail — all in one day). There are plenty of Dutch words, though, if you’re interested in broadening your bad-weather vocabulary.
We are thrilled to present some new platform tools that’ll give smartxers more visual insights into KPI performance. Introducing, Stacked Bar Chart and Time Span Comparison (that’s your cue to jump for joy)!
This bar chart is not a seating chart at the bar (but if that’s what it takes to open the pubs again, we’re listening). That said, this widget is your new pal if you want to view the composition of various KPIs based on a percentage. The stacked values add up to 100% and are useful for comparing all available items in one dimension based on the selected KPI. In the example below, we selected data from the previous month to view the impressions by Deal Type.
There are no secrets when it comes to the Time Span Comparison chart. It does exactly what you expect —compares individual KPIs over different time spans. In the example below, we compare the impression data from the previous month to the impression data from 2 months ago.
These widgets can be found in the Reporting UI and are available for export as a .png and .svg. You may also export the data as an Excel or .csv file without imagery. Please note that these widgets, like other dimensions and KPIs, will only appear on your dashboard by request. Additionally, the KPIs available in the dropdown are based on the KPIs users have access rights to.
We regularly update geo targeting data based on information provided by our data partners. This can sometimes lead to cities (and in rare cases regions) to no longer be available for targeting. Previously, these changes were only shown in the targeting selectors after the cities/region had already been removed. After tomorrow’s release, users will see a warning in both the UI and API before the geo is removed/deprecated or archived.
Yours in smartx updates and layering up to avoid another short shorts in a hailing blizzard incident 🥶,
