There’s always room for improvement 💡

Blocking fraudulent and unwanted domains and bundle IDs—it’s all in a good day’s work at smartclip.

Hey smartx-ers,

In the world of adtech, is the work ever truly “done”? We think not, which is why we’ve come up with a new way to block those fraudulent and unwanted domains and bundle IDs.

Curious about how the latest update stops those sketchy characters? Let’s dive in…

smartx’s most (un)wanted list

While we were always able to keep a catalogue of unwanted domains and bundle IDs, the process of blocking that catalogue from being monetised was complicated and inefficient. However, with our new Global Domain & Bundle ID Blacklist, we have solved this problem and come up with a more efficient solution. With this feature — which works on the platform level — we are now able to block and prevent all requests from domains and bundle IDs listed on the blacklist from being monetised.

Please note that this is not a frontend feature and in order to work in cooperation with platform development, only the Media Quality Team can add domains and bundle IDs to the blacklist. If you would like to add a domain or bundle ID (app) to the blacklist, please reach out to the Media Quality Team at mediaquality@smartclip.tv

Yours in updates and keeping up the good work,
