Hi, I’m Christian and I oversee the People & Culture Department at smartclip. With over 20 years of experience in HR, I am passionate about HR and recruiting. At smartclip, I have built a team dedicated to maximising employee value through talent acquisition, development, and fostering a positive work environment. Empowering our employees is our top priority, as it improves the workplace for everyone and benefits the company. Tune in to learn more.

How our department is organised.

The Learning, Development, & Culture pillar is responsible for establishing a learning culture, long-term personal development efforts for each smartclipper, and helps guide the evolution of our company culture. In addition to learning and development topics, we are dedicated to improving mental and physical health throughout smartclip. Key projects we work on include internal events and learning initiatives such as our Strategy Days, smartweek, expert sessions, and more. The overall goal of this pillar is to improve the well-being of our employees and support them in discovering their potential.

Our People Management pillar works to create an exceptional employee experience at smartclip. With a focus on care and empathy, we develop streamlined and effective processes that prioritise our greatest asset — our people. As trusted companions throughout all stages of life, from career beginnings to personal milestones, we’re dedicated to supporting our employees in their professional and personal growth. We foster a values-driven culture in every office, empowering our team members and providing them with the necessary resources and support they need during their smartclip journey. We constantly work to create an environment built on trust, confidentiality, transparency, and reliability, where open dialogues regarding employee and manager concerns and aspirations thrive.

The Recruiting & Candidate Experience pillar is committed to identifying the best candidates for open positions and inspiring them to join the company. As the candidate’s first point of contact, our team ensures an exemplary candidate experience by effectively conveying our vision, mission, and corporate culture from day one. We take ownership of the entire candidate journey, from employer presentation to active sourcing, screening, interviews, and final commitment. Our responsibilities encompass sourcing and recruiting through direct search and networking, developing and implementing recruiting processes, creating requirement profiles and job descriptions, managing the internal referral program, enhancing employer branding, maintaining company profiles on platforms like XING and Kununu, supporting hiring managers with recruiting strategies, organising recruiting events, managing staffing agencies, and maintaining a strong candidate pipeline.
