We are a dynamic and diverse team that takes ownership of identity-related technology solutions and a wide range of audience products that work across publisher content and screens. We see data privacy as a product advantage rather than a limitation, and aim to create innovative, privacy-first, and future-proof data products that significantly advance the monetisation capabilities of our publishers. At the same time, we seek to have a close eye on the requirements of advertisers and technical monetisation partners. Our Business Product Owners ensure that product requirements are properly defined and that the right solutions are built and utilised to their fullest. Together, with our client-facing teams, we drive adoption by supporting and consulting our platform customers.

Hi, I’m Frank and I oversee the Data Products Department. What I love about working at smartclip is the open, diverse, and inclusive culture that fosters effective teamwork and performance. My fellow smartclippers’ passion, commitment, and attention to detail inspire me every single day.

How our department is organised.

Our Identity Team continuously enhances our state-of-the-art identity solutions.They actively seek out cutting-edge approaches to tackle the challenges posed by the deprecation of third party cookies, evolving market dynamics, and heightened user awareness regarding data processing and storage.

We strongly focus on bringing our publishers into the driver’s seat when it comes to leveraging a broad array of different identifiers. Our identity cloud solution seamlessly makes multiple identifiers actionable in a privacy-conscious manner, laying a robust foundation for pioneering audience solutions tailored to individuals and households across various screens. Furthermore, our team consults and empowers publishers and broadcasters to efficiently onboard their valuable first party data sets. Our integration set-up simplifies data usage, control, and navigation — providing broadcasters with a hassle-free experience.

Our Identity and Audience Teams work very closely with each other, as our identity solutions are the backbone of our audience products. Our audience products are developed at the crossroads of strategy, adtech, and data science — requiring our Business Product Owners to be creative, pragmatic, and focused. Our Audience team also harbours a deep understanding of technology and data-related topics. They are experienced when it comes to breaking down complex products and features into subtasks. They are tasked with orchestrating and overseeing the development of dependent features that ultimately result in an integrated overall product.

Our proprietary ATV data tools are built to take full advantage of HbbTV data, connecting it with contextual and aggregated panel data sets. Customised segmentation capabilities enable publishers to cater to the specific needs of advertisers. Furthermore, we are continuing to extend our contextual targeting capabilities. Our Target Audience Mapper allows users to easily create and activate content containers based on multiple criteria (e.g. channel, air time, genre, AGF affinity groups) to efficiently place brands into the most relevant content.
